Front Light for Shred/Boar
This bike ticks all the boxes, rides great off the beaten path, a must upgrade is the Suntour seat post shock. The only thing I would change is to have 12 gears instead of 9 gears when you are riding on pavement.
My first fat bike and my first ebike. I was concerned about the handling on those tires in the city but this bike handles all terrain with no problem. It is powerful and the switch from manual to e-power is seemless as you ride. Everyone I've let ride it always comes back with a smile on their face! I cant say enough good things about this bike. No regrets!
2020 Shred ...Spirit saver.
I put over over 1700 km on my Shred the past 12 months mostly on trails here on the Sunshine Coast, B.C. I did order fenders but took them off along with the headlight (have clip on if I need one, same with rear) and kick stand. Put on an Ortho Pedal as I have lost a lot of range of motion due to an unsuccessful knee replacement from previous injuries This bike has been a spirit saver for me as most sports I loved in the past just are not happening anymore. Love that this bike has a throttle as it is paramount for me when I come to a rise on my right and just need that extra kick. Getting back out there and getting the juices flowing in the forest has been amazing. In case anyone is curious about the Ortho Pedal or know of someone who may benefit from it . All good talked to Mitchell and he set me up.
Far exceeded my expectations!
The Bike, components and electrics, and support from Surface604 has been amazing! Worked with Mitchell for getting my new bike assembled and shipped - great experience. The bike arrived as advertised, professionally shipped! I'm 6'1, 200 Lbs and the M/L fits great. First trip in -5oC in Saskatchewan was great. I have the normal battery and it was depleting, but still had a lot of life left (40% charge) after 20km's/60 minutes mostly using the motor and not a lot of pedal assist. The bike rips - close to the advertised 20mph with only the motor - very little effort required over snow and ice, while feeling stable; a 'close' second to the motorcycle my wife won't let me get... The ONLY thing I would offer for others getting this bike is you'd likely want an aftermarket cup holder to cruise with! Happy riding!
